Mr Arthur PoraeMsys the post, Secretary of the Education Board,' was presented with a handsome piece of p'lafe, a tea and coffee service, and pass of spoons by the Wellington district teachers at the meeting of the Teacher's Association today. Our Greytown correspondent writes as follows:—Oomplaiats are being made in Greytown among the Oathoijcs at the non-attendance of the paßtqr at the usual monthly services, as only one service has been held in, the church sjnpe th,e missionary services, held l" November last. Surely this stafe of things ought not to be allowed to exist, and we feel sure His Lordship the Bishop cannot be aware of the nejlect of the Greytown district or it would soon be remedied, for nothing can be more derogatory to nhgious bodies than to see their officiating minister drive through the township instead of stopping to attend to the usual advertised services, and as some of the congregation come from long distances they are apt to lose confidence in their church and not trouble about attending after being deceived a few times.
