Two spacious stairs give access to the first floor, the accommodation oh which will be a pavilion, BOfr, x 21ft.; a billiard saloon, 'soft, x 24ft,, for .two tables, lit with a lantern light; two ilressingrooms, in nil respects similar to tho rooms below; a rcadingroom and a comniittceroom. A verandah and balcony are provided on tho south front, affording sitting accommodation to 300 persons, The main'stairs are continuedup, and give access to a flat roof and gallery on. the of the building, where there is room for 230 members. Mr. William Sahvay, of 45 Swauston street, is the architect, and tho contractors aro Messrs, Goss and Mnsson. The total cost of' the building, inclusive of fittings, is about £4600., .
