THE MASTERTON PARK.

Tun principal frontage of the Park Reserve in Dixon-street is marred and disfigured by a horribly rudo fence' and by a square block of ruins which project from it into the reserve. The tenant; of this very undesirable tenement has recently given up possession and without a very considerable sum of money is expended on restorations, it is unfit to bo retained as a human habitation, Even if it were repaired it would remain an eyesore lo the surrounding park scenery.. We hope the Park Trustees will clear the ground of the encumbrance and with the proceeds of the sale of the valuable total timber (a good deal of it has already been evidently used its firewood) with which the stockade and palisading is constructed put up an orn.vment.il fence which will give the Park that appearance of being cared for which it so sadly needs.
