COUNCILLOR DONALD.
We notice that an attack has been made in the columns of our ftreytown contemporary on Councillor Donald, and \yo dpw attention to the" fact simply friunjL cqnviption that it emanated from the pen of ,domicilii' Phillips. If Mr Phillips has anything to pr jgaiijst Mr Donald on County 'questions, it v/oijld be far more manly if lib expressed himself openly at the Council table, Coun-. cillor Donald is no stranger in this district, and he can afford to pass by with contempt the mean and spiteful remarks to which we allude. Messrs Donald and Phillips, as public men, present a striking contrast. Mr Donald is singularly unselfish q,ndat raighf forward, and Mr Phillips'is singularly ool|sh and circuitous. The former serves his constituents, the latter makes his constituents serve him. Mr Donald, as a representative, though less showy, is worth half-a-dozen njen like Mr Phillips. .
