No. 2 was a man not fond of continuous hard work, but who coujd corapet himself, if necessary, to work for a number of hours continuously. He was,.practical, and on any subject being mooted his first query' would be! "Isit of any use ?" He was firm .and persevering, more inclined to look after his own business than other people's, but at some future time, when his position, was assured* and they wanted a tjood member of Parliament of a persevering, practical kind, this would be the very man for them. Mr Cole was a genial, hospitable, and obliging charaoter, sensible, slow-thinking, but very careful, and very sure; fond of ladies and chil. dren, liked a good dinner, himself and liked, to see others eating one. '■ His character was firm and sturdy, and his constitution strong. The delineation.of Mr Wrigley's character was the greatest hit. He was stated to be active, energetic, and speculative, fond of mirth, theatricals, and lively company. Not very strong, not very deep, but full of life and elasticity. The various. sketches were extremely well received both by the audience and the subjects, The professor lectures again this evening, his subjeot being the " Living Temple," when we hope to see another good house.; /
