This eminent firm of Agricultural Implement Engineers, after devoting several years' attention to the production of a first-claps machine, now offer their Harvester, claiming tbat it is brought to the highest state of perfection that oxporieuce has yet rendered possible. Ths woodwork of this machine is of selected English Ash, the castings are of extra quality, the fingers of patent welded ateol and iron, and the workmanship throughout of the high quality ol English machinery. The Knotting apparatus employed by Samuelson and Co., is bucli that it is impossible for the knot to be missed, and Us operation so perfect that it will not fail to tie the bands securely. The report of a trial, under the auspices. of the Otago A. and P. Association,.at Abbotsford, Otago, on 17 tb February last, Bays " This machine turned out its ivork in a very superior manner. The 6heaves wero well balanced, securely tied, and delivered with poifect regularity, tbo cut was as stiaight as an arrow's flight, and the machine appeared t > travel over the ground remarkably easy, so that a good rate of speed was niaintaiced. A lumpen cord was used for tying The spectators wero' extremely well pleased with this machine. To all appearance in would have finished its plot first, or, at any rate, about the same time as the McCormack, but for an accident which occurred when only about two rounds had to be made. When going through a little gully the 'BWayboard,' or 'vibrator,' as some term it, broke, and the machine was holplessly stuck up, so far as tho competition was concerned." The verdict of the judges was a follows! "Samuelson did not finish allotment; Osborne, 12 points; Wood, 23 points; Robertson's Deering, 14 points; D, BeiO's the Otago Agricultural and Pastoral Association to judge the twine binders, have come to the conclusion that, in tho crop to-day tbo work done by the Wood and McCormack machines, and by the Samuelson, until the time of tho accident, was as near perfection as could be." [Signed by the soveii judges.] Mr_ Samuelson, junior, who visited tho colonies during the recent harvest to examine into special circumstances and wants, has returned to England, and will effect such small alterations as the experience of his visit may suggest, and we have confidence in. recommending the SAMUELSON HARVESTER, as the best in the market for tho next season, As only a limited number of machines will be shipped, to prevent disappointment, intending purchasers would do well to cornmunicato with us in time for next outgoing mail.
