GREYTOWN TOWN LANDS TRUST.
The adjourned meeting of the Greytown Trust was held on Saturday afternoon.: Present—Messrs Baillie (chairman), Wood Haigh Guff, and Wyett. The minutes of the previous meeting were road and confirmed. ■ A letter was read from St. Luke's Church Vestry respecting the Town Hall, which was referred to the custodian The following accounts were passed for payment :- -Messrs Beard and Gray £l2 3s 8d; B. Gray £4 10a; H. Morris £3 j Clerk and Collector£4 Is Id; Maaterton Trust ■£2l6s6d, It was resolved that the conditions re fencing he not onforced on certain sections let to Mr Walkor at 5a per annum on the river bed. It was resolved that the terra for the acres reserved for school and recreation purposes ho for fourteen years, and the rental one shilling per acre. The annual meeting was then held of persons whose names appear on the voters' list, Mi Baillie in the chair. The report and balance sheet for past year was read and adopted. Messrs Sk'eet--and Webster wore re-appointed auditors, . The eleventh annual report of the 'Greytown Trust Lands Trustees was read as follows;—" Your Trustees hep to report that the affairs of the Trust for the past year have been in all respects favorable; •' Ist. The rents have teen punctually paid and they havo been enabled to materially improve the Hall and its approaches and in. addition to grant £lO and £ls to the school and Cemetery Trustees respectiv >ly, and that the credit balance exceeds that of last year and is more thin sufficient to meet the liabilities to theMasterton Trust ka.
-. No further overtures have as yet been received from the Maaterton Trust, re the purchase of their interest in the Town Bolt section. During.the year only one vacancy has occurred in the Trust by ths resignation ofMrW. Hammerichwho has left the district. The vacancy was filled by the appointment of MrS. A number of the leases of the Town Bel', expired on the 31st December last and all were relet by auction at an average of £% 28 per section. ..It will be nocessaryat this Meeting to to debt two auditors for the ensuing year. Those retiring are Messrs Skeot and Webster. The Trustees retiring by rotation are Messrs Wood and Wyett, an election to fi'l the vacancies will be held ou Thursday 27th inst. Your Trustees have withdrawn from sale Town Belts J9 and 20 for use of school, aid sections 41 to 45 inclnsive for recreation purposes.
