Board then gave with great ' humor an amusing sketch of" a Mexican Plug," keeping the audience laughing from the start to the finish of that sagacious animal. Major Smith followed with "Tho old Brigade," which ho sung with great verve receiving a hearty encoro. He respondod with " Love lives for ever," which was equally well rendered. Mrs Paigo then played a vory skilful . solo on the piano, for which ahe narrowly escaped an ecc ire. The i ong of tho evening was ''Tim L >st Chord" which was next givon by Mr Ganfc, It was sing with great power and expression, and received an encore, which was responded to with " Beloved Eye," also excellently rendered and receiving loud applause.
