In the House of Commons to-day the Premier, in reply to a question, stated that the Government would consider during the recess what should be done regarding the non-payment of arrears of rent in Ireland. (Dbs debate on the cloture proposals of the Governraerii is no# proceeding in the House of Commons. During this affernoon's sitting an amendment introduced by Mr Marriott, Liberal member for Brighton, condeming the proposal that the cloture should' Jje votabje'hy a simple majority of the House was negatived on 'division by 313't0 879. News is to hand from Ireland that Mr Herbert, a Magistrate at lerry has been murdered.'' .
V Prinoe Leopold is at present indisposed and it is expected that his marriage will in consequence have to be postponed,
