RIFLE MATCH.
A rifle match was fired at the Greytown butts yesterday between the Masterton and Greytovra corps. The team representing the former were under the oharge of aoling Oolor-sergt. 'Williams, and the latter were commanded by Cap- j tainTully. Owing to the target not having been prepared prior to the motoh. there was some delay in comraencing"the • contest, and it was almost dark \ when it was concluded. This circumstance., ac-.. counted for the weak scoring"at'llfe"" 600 yds. range, The weather was, alittle wirdy but otherwise all that col. de*L sired. The match resulted in the '\ visitingtoamby33points. Ontlf&rey- ( town Bide Corpl. Trotman distinguished himself by making the highest possible score at 400 yards. Sergt. Bezav and Corpl. Dalrymple acted as scorers. The following are tho scores : OREYTOWN.
