FIRE HEAR BLENHEIM,

(PER UNITEn PRESB ASSOCIATION.) Blenheim, March 13. On Saturday last the house and outhuilding6 occupied by Mr Atwood, at Amersfoot, were totally destroyed by fire, which originated by sparks from the chimney falling on to a large coating of decayed leaves lying on the roof. The fire was first discovered by Mrs Atwond, who was alone with her children in the house. She tried to run upstairs to t&va some £36 in cash in a chest of drawers, but was driven baek by the flames, and was only able to save her children andget out of the building. Atwood, being totally uninsured, loses everything, and not only all his furniture and effects, bat also : a lot of belting and piping for a threshing machine, besides other gear. He fortunately succeded in saving an entire horse from the stable while it was in James. Only last week Mr Atwood intended Insuring his property, and wn actually on hss way to do so, when hi wsb met by a friend and prevented from executing the purpose.
