The Queen continues well, her health I having in no way suffered in consequence of the attempt upon her life. Universal sympathy la manifested towards Her Majesty, telegrams having been received to-day from the various foreign Courte testifying to the sympathy which is felt, and expressing gratification at Hor Majesty's providential escape from injury, The bullet which was fired from the assailant's revolver has been found near the scene of tbo ouirage.. The prisoner RodurickMcLean, was brought: up today at the Police Court charged with the attempt on the Queen's life. He was quite collected, showing no symptom ofinsauily, and pleaded that poverty drove hira to commit the outrage. He declared that ho had no intention of murdering Hur Majesty. He was remanded to Friday next. Later.' It has transpired that McLean, who attempted the life of tbo Queen, was formerly confined in a lunatic asylum.
