In reply to a communication sent by Messrs Joubert and Twopenuy-to the Union S.SiCompany, a letter has been received from Mr Mills tlie acting man-agei',-Btating tint at Melbourne and Sydney goods had been carried to Exhibitions at ord'nary rates, and those unsold had been brought back free, and the Union Company would be happy to place those intended for Christchuvch on the same, footirg The question of making reductions in passenger fares during the Exhibition was under consideration by the Directors, and their decision would be made shortly,
