FRIENDLY SOCIETIES' PROCESSION.
In response to the invitation from the Druids' Lodge, the various Friendly Societies have agreed to join in the torclilight procession on' Monday evening. At a mee'ing last nigh', of the combined oommittee it was resolved that the following he the programme for the evening The procession to start from the fores ters' Hall, proooed down Queen-st. as far as the Khiupum Creek; return by way of Chapelst., reenter Queen-st,, and baok to starting pojut. It will start half-past 8, and it is supposed to take about three-quarters of an hour on the journey. The following will he the order of the procession, which it has been resolved to ask the Mayor to marshal : Druids Guardians (In Black Gowns and Beards). Band. Fire Brigade. (with Engine.). Rrohabites, Dkdids. Odd Fellows. Foresters. Juvenile Foresters. There will be about 80 torches used in the procession.
