Tis a nice Christmas pudding I usually make, And to have it a good one much trouble do take j Thus, a half pound of butter o'er hot water steam : Till'tis melted; then work till 'tiswork'd to a
; croain. Lot eight eggs be divided, the yolk from tho whito; 'Ero the yolks to the butter add, bent them up light To a froth nice and thick; then the whites you
must whisk, And ne'er let them stand, but keep beating, thorn,
brisk; Thonof flourone pound, andofsugnr three qiißrter, Mix'd in by decrees; then a half-pint of. water; Of currants and raisins,each three quarter pound' Stoned, and cut, into flour—rub to separatc,[take. And four ounces of citron—a tablespoon of mix'd spice, And two glasses of brandy, which makes it so nico, Then, loave it to stand under cover all njght, And eight hours of boiling 1 will Kirn it out lightIt then must bo sorved with somo sweetiand rich sauce, .1 Which must be well flavour'd with brandy, of
