Tiie installation of Mr Bish as Mayor of Mastorton lakes place to-morrow at noon. This ceremony will be followed by a lnnch given to the retiring Mayor. Last year, though wo differed from Mr Renall ou many public questions, we lecognised his claim for the otlico which he resigns to-morrow. Writing at that dato wo said" In one respect Mr Renall has at the Council table adopted a lino of conduct winch justifies us in believing that he will maintain the dignity of the chair, Though a strong and straight speaker himself, he has been wont to deprecate the introduction of personal feoling into public discussion, and has smoothed over many a little ebullition which has from tune to time threatened to disturb the peaceful and orderly couduct of business, If, as Mayor, he exercises the larger influence which he will then possess m a similar direction Borough Council meetings will bo agreoable gatherings, even if they are not edifying," Wo are glad to record that Mr Renall has not disappointed the anticipations we formed of his Mayoral career, and that during his terra of office a very cordial feeling has animated the deliberations of the Council,
