Rules and Regulations: All entries to bo made subject to the condition that all disputes, claims and objections arising out of the racing shall be decided by a majority of the Stewards present, or whom they may appoint, and that such dooision shall be final aud binding in all cases, Nominations for the Handicap Hurdle Race, Maiden Plate, Taratahi-Caiterton Handicap, aud Sapling Stakes to be made in writing, stating name, pedigree, description and age of horse, and colors of rider, and to be sent in, accompanied by the nomination fee, to the oflice of the Hon, Secretary, Mr L, Wilson, Carterton, on or before Thursday, sth January, 1882, at 4 p.m The weights will be declared on 10th January. 1882, and published in the local newspapers. Acceptances to be mad? on or befcre Tuesday, 17th Jauuary. 1882, at 4 p,m, Three entries or the public money will bo withheld. No protest will be considered unless lodged within 15 minutes after the race, and accompanied by a deposit of £2, which shall be forfeited if the jjrotcst ia frivolous or Vexatious.
