TO STAND This Season at Walter Morison'n stud stable, Manaia, the celebrated thoroughbred horse " ~" KINGFISHER. Kinqhsukr, bred by J. Gilbert, Pusey Vale, South Australia, is a dark-brown horse, standing 16 ■ hands high, and is admitted to be one of the most powerful thoroughbred horses in the Australasian Colonies, From his fine conformation, great substance, trength, and quality, he is admirably adapted o got carriago horses, hunters, and hacks, d well as racehorses. He was got by Sky craper, out of Remnant, by the far-famed Fisherman, granddam Henr(etta 'imported), mt of Remnant, by Hie famous Harkaway. Skyscraper, by Moonrakor, out of Lady Godiva, by Hercules, Hercules by Whisker (imported), sire of the renowned Jorrock's, whose fame is imperishable; Kingfisher himself, like his close relatives-Richmond, TheDivor, Hamlet,. Sir Charles is a beautiful bay with black points, rising 6 years old, stands hands nigh, with immense bone, and plenty of fine hair, and is a beautiful model of the Clydesdale breed. Sir Charles is by the imported horse Prince Charley, out ot Lady, imported, Lady's dam Gipsy Queen, by Thene of Clyde. Prince Charley was bred by .fames Nicol Fleming, Esq. (whose stock is unequalled in Great Britain), and is by Prince Alfred, dam Jane, by Prince, dam Darling, by Samson, alias Logan's Twin. Prince, Charley is also own brother to the Scotch Champion Prince of Wales, sold to Lawrence Drew, Esq., of Merrytown, for 1500 guineas. Prince Charley took first prize at Christclmrch in 1872, beating a field of eight, six of them being imported, and all aged horses but one, be himself being only 3 years old; also a special prize for the best animal on tlifl ground. He also gained the special prize given by the Mayor of Christchurch for the best horse of any age, ■Sir Charles was shown four times in Hawke's Bay, and gained first prize, also the Society Medal as best entire of any age in 1878. He lias a very strong constitution and niild temper, and is thoroughly sound, staunch, arid quiet in harness. This is a rare opportunity for breeders to improve their class of horses.
