An awkward-looking countryman, who was gazing into the shop windows on our leading thorougefare one bright afternoon lately, attracted a good deal of attention on account of his odd dress and apparent verdancy. Becoming annoyed at last, he turned upon a man who was looking at him with openmouhed surprise, and sneeringly remarked, "I say yeou, ef yeou keep yeour mouth so wide open, yeou'll sunburn your teeth!" and walked away, leaving the city man to be laughed at by the crowd, that always laughs with the winning party.
