The sale of the well-known Estate of the late Mr, 0, Dixon, situated in the heart of the township of Masterton, to be help! on Thursday, the 17th instant, is attracting consideriiblp attention in the district, and cnnfidpriiiL' the value of the property and the fact that the properties are jo clcrb to the very heart of the township, we hnpo to he able to report a successful sale, as it will prove, beyond nil doubt, what faith capitalists and others have in the district; as being one of the early selections in the township, the property is admittedly ono of the finest in the district, and comprises—firstly, sections 4, 5, and 6, bounded by Dixonstreet, fyinnjster-street, and Columba Road, containing about 130 acres, subdivided into 43 sections, containing from 1 to 9 acres, on this block is erected the farm house, which will be sold with allotment 36; the next block, rural section 1, has been sub-divided into 5 allotments, containing from 6 to 9 acres each ; town section 67, sub-divided into 0 allotment.), will next be offered, and last of all tho cottage situated in Qeeenatroet, near tho shop of Mr Jngo, occupied by Dr Beard, known as Oswell Cottagb. The auctioneers, Messrs T, Kennedy Macdonald & Co., have distributed lithographic plans, giving full details; and have also pegged oil the land with small flags, giving the numbers of the sections, thus affording visitors every opportunity of thoroughly inspecting the several lots, and from the number of visitors from Wellington who have inspected the estate, there will doubtless bo a larse attendance at tho sale.
