ONE OF THE LITTER.
Sir James Wen- Hogg made a fortune in India, and his wife holding a distinguished place in London, fashionable circles gavo splendid parties. It is said that a young blood, meeting one of the Misses Hogg at a ball, and not knowing her name, asked if she was going to a certain party at the " Piggery." Her naive reply was: "Oh I'm one of the litter."
