WANGANUI "COLLEGIATE SCHOOL THE Trustees of the above School ate about to erect a spacious house for the accommodation of Boarders, which is expected to be;ready for occupation at the beginning of the New Year. The Classrooms, built about three years ago, are large and lofty. The situation of the School is very good, It stands in a reserve of about siy acres, forming an excellent cricket field and play-ground. The Eev B. W. Harvey, M.A., Incumbent of St Paul's, Wellington, has been appointed to the office of Head Master, and will enter on his duties in January next. Mr Harvey was a Scholar of St John's College, Cambridge, and has had large and varied experionce &bateaoher. The couise of instruction will embrace Beligious Knowledge, the English, French, German, Latin, and Greek languages, History, Geography, and Mathematics, with special preparation, If desired, for the Civil Service aid other examinations, Facilities will also be given for the study of Natural Science, The School Year will be divided into Thrc Terms of 13 weeks each. Tuition Fees, for pupils under 12 years of age, 8 guineas and for pupils over 12 years, i guineas ; teem, Board, including washing, £l4 a term, SCHOLARSHIPS. The Trustees propose to elect six scholars, who will receive free tuition, two of whom, if resident at a distanon, the Head Master will be prepared to receive as boarders at the rate of £7 a term, The first election will take place in December next. Examination will be held, if necessaty, in Wellington, Groytown, and Patea, as well as Wanganui, Candidates must be under 12 years of ago at the time of examination.
