WESLEYAN SUNDAY SCHOOL ANNIVERSARY.

Tub anniversary services in onnneotion with the Wesleyan S,unday School at Maetertnn, were held yesterday by the Rev J Dukes. There were three services —morning, afternoon, and evening, and though far fmm well, the reverend gentleman pr«aohcd three very eloquent aer-; mons. Those in the morning and afternoon haying flpecjii) referenoe to ohildren andlhe duties of parentis, and.were interposed wjth affecting anecdotes, and Tery eloquently delivered, The church was full. both morning and afternoon; but in the evening it was ornw'ded, and the third sermon, which wsb of general application, listened to with great appreciation. The former anniversary services were never so largely attended, and the present occasion shows the.estimation in .which the Wesleyap Pastor is held, and the increased Interest in ohuwh affairs.taken by the congregation. . Sunday school ohojr, under the leadership of Mrs (tapper, ret)dßred the choral portipn of the services in a very pleasing manner, special .anil'appropriate hymns having been chosen for the day,. On Wednesday next the "anniversary tea meeting! »jH be held, at which Mr Feist will preside,' and addresses given by several ministers and friends, ,;
