PRICE LIST. MASTERTON AND GREYTOWN. ' ■ " '■ ■■■■ - 1 - vi .- c , ■' ■. . MASTERTO_N 9i November 1, ISBI. . IN PRESENTING this, our first Wholesale Price List to the public of the Wairarapa, we respectfully state our reasons fordoing so, m, we are prpud to state m m. the. oldest established storekeepers in the district-and in doing so we have to acknowledge the liberal su,pport which has always been accorded to us, We have to attribute the cause of our success to our having studied the wants of the district, mid in attending, to our business,, and in conducting it on pure business principles. It has ever been om- JMo. to Progress with the Times, We have carefully and anxiously watched the course of recent events, ivhich, has convinced \us that -the time has, arrived wheiiaMW departure is necessary for conducting our Large Business for the future, caused by Railway Communicationand Merchandise. We lime therefore decided to iter our mode of business from this date, and for the future to conduct it in the same manner as the Co-Operative and' Civil Service Stores do in England and in America, that is, to sell all goods at the lowest wholesale prices in the smallest quantities, thereby enabling all classes to purchase their requirements at the HEHY LOWEST' POSSIBLE RATESi As our profits will only be a bare percentage, and will do away'with the usual Retail Storekeepers' profits, and so as to make it a profitable investment for our capital, we do not intend to make any bad debts—our pices hour Price Lists are for Net Cash Only. t _ . , Our terms are -.—Cash to be paid for all goods before delivery at the prices quoted. No abatement or discount will be allowed. Customers will have the option of having goods booked to them asnow, for either one month or three months, at a slight increase on the cash prices. The increase on the prices will only be to the extent of the value of money, so as. to enable us to eqnaiise the cash prices quated. We are therefore confident that our credit prices will compare mod favorably with any wholesale Iwfee in Wellington or elsewhere for >the same class of goods, inasmuch as it is our intention to mvince all who may favor us with their patronage that our goods are all of Ik very best quality, and under no circumstances will we substitute any cheap and inferior goods to make up for the loss of profits. ... • ■ :,' We hope to make our business remuneraiive by increasing it to a very large extent, and to do trade with settlers who now deal at Wellington. By importing direct from the best markets, we are confident that ournew business venture will tend to llie benefit of the settlers of the Wairarapa and to ourselves, • : , 1.
