In such cases it is the duty of the Public Trustees to discharge all legal debts as far as the assets extend, and divide the residue amongst the next of kin. 4. The administration of the estates of lunatics, lunatic patients, and convicts, 5. The chargo of all lands lying waste and unoccupied of which the owner i» unknown, or who has been absent from the colony for ten years, having left no known agent.
