CONFLICT BETWEEN GOVERNOR AND MINISTERS.
PARLIAMENT PROBABLY REASSEMBLED.
Wellington, Oct. 22,
Rumoursof conflicting opinion between the Governor and his responsible advisers avo rife concerning the Native difficulty, and it is said that if matters are not adjusted Parliament will be assembled in special session. Possibly before the next 24 hours will see the difficulty solved, Meanwhile gossips enjoy the position, There are virtually two Governors, no proclamation having been issued of Sir Arthur Gordon's resumption of office, and there are two Native Ministers, Bryce'B appointment having bsen gazetted but nut Rolleston'a resignation.
The Hineiuoa left last niajlit with a further contingent of Armed Constabulary for the front.
