IKELAJO. ft——— SERIOUS AFFAIR IN DUBLIN, HOUSES WRECKED. SHOPS MOBBED, TROOPS POURTNG IN FROM ENGLAND. THE LEAGUE XXHORTS NOT TO PAY RENT. Dublin-, Oct. 18. Very serious troubles have occurred here Many bouses have been wrecked and shops mobbed, and everything cleared out ot them. Peaceable citizens throughout Ireland are warned by proclamation to keep within doors after dark. Troops are pouring in from England. Public feeling against the arrest of the Land League leaders is strong, and complaints are made against the police for brutality in suppressing riots, Force is justified by Mr Forster as necessary under the circumstances.
Tho Land League has issued a manifesto exhorting tenants to refuse payment of their rent until the Government abandons its terrorism and restores the Irish to their constitutional rights.
