An inebriate, some little time baok got into a railway, carriage, and became very troublesome and. annoying to the other passengersso much that it was proposed to eject him but a genial and reverand I doctor who was also a passenger, inter- J posed for him and soothed him into good J behaviour for the remainders of the ™ journey. Before leaving however he scowled upon the occupants ot the car and muttered some words of contempt, but shook hands warmly with tho doctor and said—" Good day my friend, I see you know what it is to be drunk."
