FEATHERSTON LOCAL BOARD.

A meeting of the Featherslon Local Board was held on Mouday last, Messrs Cox (chairman), Cundy, Eoynolds, and r" O'Neal being present. Tho minutes of the last meeting were ~. read and confirmed. _/ The Treasurer reported a credit balance W of£l9 14s Id. }i The following accounts were passed for V payment:—J. W. Laimbear,i'i!l 10s; Tail Bnps., for labor, £IG lGs; registrar, dog fees, 18s. The ponndkeeper reported his account . for the past month to be 9s. V The following correspondence inwards 1 was read .-From the Colonial Secretary, ™ asking for returns of lands for public * roads.—From Dr Wa.lace, asking the Board for assistance in falling a line of fencing between him and the water reserve belonging to the Board.—From Mrs Tucker and others re filling in the water-table near her house. It was resolved—That Dr Wallace's application stand overfill next meeting.— That Messrs Cundy, Beynolds, and O'Neal be appointed a committee to go and look over the water reserve and report at next meeting, as tho Board might lease the water reserve for a term of years The Works Committee- were requested to see to the application of Mrs Tucker and others, and report at the next meeting. The meeting then adjourned to tho sth November.
