With a view to affordinggreater encouragement, for. the vaccination and re.vaccination of persons over 14 years of age, ■ the government has decided to extend'to-such ■ of'itiose persons! afmay be desirous of taking advantage'thereof the privilege of; free vaccinatiorij'and to sanction the. payment to public vaccinators of a fee of 2s'6d for each succe.ssful case of vaccination per'ormedby them on any person above 14 years' of age, wljaii such operation'may" hot be, or have'Mb, otherwise paid for. y Every child admitted to any'' school which shall be maintained in whole or in part by grant, or from rates, orariy public funds, or by any endowments, whether colonial, provincial, municipal, or district, shall be vaccinated by a Public Vaccinator, unless suoh child shall'have been previously vaccinated. ' j,^ : ; jlnthe case of persons above the age of sixteen, the examination shall-be eoriv ( w* •ted by a legally-qualified medical practitioner, and the person, if necessary, be vaccinated by him. ; , . ■■■ V, -,• > ? In the event of any objeotion r been raised to the operation of vaccihation'by either the children or the parents or guar- \ diansof any children, you should,' if you have reason to bolieve that there has not been any previous vaccination, either yourself issue a notice ao prescribed by section 155 of " The Public Health Act, 1876," or report the case to the Kegißtrav and Vaccination Inspector, with a request that he will issue the notice.
