A severe tussle took place over the Railways Construction Bill in the Legislative Council yesterday, lasting till after midnight, when progress was reported. The Council meets again this day, The House of Representatives also meet at eleven and will make short work with the remaining items on the order paper. The Customs Bill, proposing certain tariff alterations, wa9 introduced yesterday.
