There was a large muster, the members of the band falling into the ranks on this oooasion, and we are glad that the volunteer movement is evidently becoming more l\n"\\f., !" !!;!; tSwii. The men were put- through the manual, firing and bayonet excerise by Lieut, Wyllie and !}ub. Lieut. Donald. The men Were aiterwrrds 1 exercised' by £jejfs Major Be?i'r in' marching and skirmish!jug.
At a meeting after drill, Private .Woods was ekoted Corporal, and the following appointed a match committee:—Lieut, Wylie, Sergts Wilton and J. Williams, Privates Freeth and C. Bentley. Sergt. Williams was appointed secretary to the committee. The following team was selected to fire against Carterton on Wednesday next : Sergts.
