SMALL POX SCARE I MEAT PRESERVING. Sydney, Sept 2, Much alarm was caused by a prisoner placed in the dock at the Police Court being-found to be suffering from smallpox. There was an instant stampede of all present. .

A new meat preserver, being a conserve of salt, was tried at Grafton, and promises to be successful.
