GARRICK DRAMATIC CLUB.

"Ticket-of-leaveMan,"

The second presentation of this piece was given to another crowded house on Saturday evoning. Colonel Pearce, SergeantMajor Bell, and the officers and many of the volunteers of the three townships were among tho audience. So large an assemblago as filled the hall on this occasion is seldom so quiet and orderly, the whole play was followed with the greatest interest, and was only interrupted by the hearty spontaneous applause the various actors and scenes from time to time drew forth. The company played far better than even they did on the first evening. Bob Brierly was faultless, and he created such sympathy that Dalton received howl of execration and derision from the gallery when at last arrested. Thia was also a great compliment to the personator of the latter (Mr Rapp) and we must say that on this occasion Ilia'conception and delineation of the character were to the life. May Edwards was, as before, thoroughly successful, and was loudly and often applauded, as also was Hawkshaw, the audience insisting upon tho curtain being raised at the scene in the Bridgewater Arms, Meller Moss was again very effective, and his denunciation of poor Bob Brierly was loudly complimented. Of course Mrs Willoughby and Sam were successful, there could be no doubt of that, from the manner in which they were treated by the audience. Mr Bish as the City bill-broker was quite up to the mark, and we think his get-up was an improvement upon his first appearance. Maltby and Jackson were first-rate, and we were glad to notice the navvies were quite a feature in the piece on this ocqasion, and were just what they are intended to be in it. We must congratulate the Club on its Buccess.with this drama, and would express our opinion that they have proved they can play dramatic pieces with as great success as burlesque or comedy.
