MASTERTON RABBIT DISTRICT.

A'meeting'of the Trustees of tho above district was held on Saturday.the 13th mat. Present-Messrs. Stewart (chairman), Welch, Gunderson, .Dagg, and Campbell. The minutes "of tlitT previous meeting were read and confirmed! Mr J. V. Smith attended, and stated that he had come down on the day fixed for hearing objections to the landowners list, in, order tu state that as his 'lease of the Education reserve on the Waipoua has expired, bo claimed to have the acreage deducted from that against his name—but that he had found the meeting adjourned.. The following accounts wero passed for payment:—Levin .& Co., balance of account for phosphorous, &c, £6O ; H. Bannister, labor, &c, poisoning 'fa Ore Oro hills, £lol7s. The secretary was instructed to communicate with the Gastlepoiut Trustees on the subject of the purchase by that Board of some oil of rhodium which the Masterton Trustees had to spare. The Inspector's report was then.read, after discussion on which it was resolved on the motion of Mr Welch, seconded by Mr Da™, that the Inspector be instructed to take steps to lay 20011)8 of poisoned grain on the islands of the Waingawa, as advised in his report. The meeting then adjourned to Saturday, 2?th inst., at 11 a.m.
