A meeting .of .the provisional directors of the Manawatu and Wellington Railway Company Was held yesterday at the rooms of Mr J. H. Wallace. PresentMgssrs Jonas "Wopdwfird, J,P, (lp t]|p. Pl]ajr); % H. L.evill, W, Hutchison, M.H.R,; G,Y, Shannon, J,P,; a, Brown, 0, B, Izard, J. E. Nathan, J. 8, M. Thompson, John'Plimmer, J. Chew, H. C. Wilson, James Wallace, W. Young, A. K. Newman, and J. H. Wallace, J.P. (secretary).: It was moved by Mr C. B. Izard, seconded by Dr Newman, and carried unanimously:—"ThatMessrs Travera & Son be appointed solicitors to the company, and the name of Mr- W, T. L, Travel's be restored on the list of provisional directors." Moved by the Chairmap, seconded by Ml 1 fti V. Shannon, aiitl carried" That ii committee be appointed to prepare, with the aid of tho solicitors to the company, a draft of the Articles of Association and of Registration for the company; sucli committee to consist of Messrs James Wallace, 6. V. Shannon, J. Plimmer, Dr Newman, and_ the mover, and to report first to a meeting of the provisional directors, and afterwards to a gei]ov{iJ meeting /of sliarchp]dpr§ as early as'possible, but ' jiotja'ter tlian this day fortnight." ifoved by tho Chairman, seconded by Mr S. Brown, and earned" That such committee have power to call a general meeting of the provisional directors and shareholders' as soon as the Mtjojpa (jf are prepared. j|fiyed by 'thq 'Chairman, seconded by Mr Hutchison, and carried" That the present Executive Committee, with the addition of Mr A'. Young, .do act as a Finance Committee, to adjust all claims against the Comply,"" Moved by Mr Plimmer, seconded by Mr Nathan, and earned That Mr Seivwright's name be added to the list of provisional directors." The meeting then adjourned.
