Wilsone stating that the Council had voted £179 10s as. a subsidy , to thisßoard, and had accepted, a tender for road work .to that amount. . From W. B. Zaldwyn re, hooks and vouchers to he returned. From R. Hughes with an account for ironwork. From Mr H. Wills with an account for repairs to harness'. From Temii store with an account for tools. From Mr W. Butters re bridge' broken atTaueru. . From Mr Langdon with account for rent. From Mr J. T. Smith with objection to valuation list. Tenders received for metalling 25 chains of road in Duorpw's creek, Castlepoint line:—Thos. Stilborn, £2 per chain, accepted; Jno. Young, £2 lis 9d,'per chain; Thos. Pickett, £2 7s 6d. Tenders for completing Men's contract at Akitio, A. Campbell, £5 per chain, accepted. ; The clerk was directed to acknowledge receipt of Mr Wilsone's letter, and request that any subsidy due from the Council to this Board be paid over forthwith, in order to pay ferrymen's salaries due on the Ist 'of January last. And that the ferrymen be informed that their salaries will be paid as soon as the subsidies are received from the Council.
And that steps be- again taken to elect a warden for No 4 ward. .sum of £7 10s be granted for repairs to the bridge over the Tauera, at Miserable Valley, and that £3 be granted'for repairs to Tenui valley road, and that A.
