BONUSES ON COLONIAL INDUSTRIES.

Notice is given by- the Colonial Secre : tarythat the following bonuses will be paid onartioles produced in the Colony of New Zealand, as under On Sugar,—A bonus of one thousand pounds (£1000) will be given for the pro» duction of the first 125 tons of sugar, manufactured in New Zealand', from beet grown in the colony.

Qll Linseed Oil.—A bonns of 6ve hundred pounds (£500) will be given for the production, by machinery permanently establishod in New Zealand, of the first ten thousand, (10,000). gallons of ojl, of good marketable quality, from linseed grown in the colony.

On Oil Oako. —A bonus of one hundred pounds (£100) will be given for the productjop of the first fifty tons of oil cake, of gooii marketable quality, from linseed grown in the colony ,'

On Starch,—A bonus of three hundred pounds (€300) will bo given on the first fifty tona of starch, manufactured in the colony; which shall be shipped to an English market, and for which i satisfactory certiijoat.e shall he given by dealers or brokers in England tjiat flje starch is of good marketable quality. On (Silk.—A bonus of BO per c.ent on the value realised for the first thousand pounds'(£looo) "worth of qoooons of the silkworm, or silkworms' eggs, produced iii the colony, to be paid on quantities of not less than fifty pounds (£SO) titir more than ojie hundred pounds (£100) produced by atiy one parpon, v' ; J"

On Sulphuric Acid. —A bonus of five hundred pounds (£500):• p'tjr annum jfjlj be given for three years in succession for Ihe production each year, by machinery established in New Zealand, of not less than 50 t tons of .sulpHurio acid, of good marketable quality. The producer, to the satisfactipn of the Colonial Secretary, of the first fifty tona, shall be also entitled to the payment of the two following years if he fulfils the conditions, ■,!
