THE LATE FIRE AT CARTERTON.

Sik,—Your Carterton- correspondent gives a very unsatisfactory account of the late fire—it'is-probably, owing to his absence from it, In his preliminary remarks he says the Brigade assisted those on the ground, when in reality those on the "round assisted the Brigade.
