"-ARMSTRONG'S COLT NIKAU."
(To the. Editor'Wairarapa Daily.) Carterton, Jan. 25, Dear Sir,—Allow me apace to say that the colt Nikau does not belong to me or any of my brothers, nor have we ever had any interest in him, Whenever our horses have gone to the post'we have not been ashamed or afraid to let the public know that we had horses running. Our predilection for the sport is well known, so that the reason for omitting the initial of Nikau s owner iff the cards is apparent enough, It may have partially succeeded in making people believe that the colt belonged to one of us; but there is just this consolation left, such transparent dodoes do not wear, and, like chickens, usually find their way to roost, Yours truly, . Ralph R. Armstrong,
