FEATHERSTON LOCAL BOARD.
The usual monthly meeting of the Board was held at tho office on Monday evening last. Present:-Messrs Cox, (Chairman), Cundy, Donald, Reynolds, and Willianis. . The minutes of pjeviou3 meeting were • read and confirmed. Tho Treasurer's statement showed an available balance of £7B Bs. • • . CORRESPONDENCE, Outwards—To Mr'Wojters; re appointment as valuator; to" Mr Faber, re rescuing cattle from (lie. ranger; to Mr Kennedy McDonald,, requesting him to have the furze trimmed or removed from' ,li ? l! r t ) l ,e .? i t y! to the ranger, ordering him ■ to lie more strict iii; keeping cattle, aud 'horses off, the street. Inwards-lYtim Colonial Secretary, re ranger; from Colonial Treasurer, giving notice that tho sum of-£92'had'been paid to the credit of the' Board. • The following resolutions were then passed That tenders bo called for metalling about 60 chains of street, and 5 chains of footpath in Upper Bell and Fox-Streets. •That some improvement be mado to tlie JBoard's office before the winter, sets in, .- That tenders for metalling. be : called for the 17th inst.; when a special meeting will beheld. • That the ejection of tenants of cottages be placed in. the hands of the -Board's solicitor., A letter was.read from J, Evans, complaining that Mr Hodder 'had. a fence ■aoVosa Johnston Street, .that-bpipg-the only street by which lie, could-'reach his . property. , ; ..
