Copies of Prospectus and Forms of application for shares can be obtained from tho Brokers, Provisional Directors, or from a_\Y of the branches of the Bank of New ZeiUnd in this Colony, until the lath day of December, 1880, at which date all application* must be in the hands of tho Brokers, wnen the lists will positively be closed and shares allotted. Specimens of Caswell Sound Marble can be seen at any of the Museums in New Zealand j the Chamber of Commerce, Wellington, or on application to any of the Officers of tho Company. In introducing this eligible investment to the notice of the public, tho promoters desire to Btate that the Company's rights comprise tho best, most available, extensive, and perhaps most valuable Marble deposits in ' the known world, at all events in the Southern Hemisphere. This is sufficiently proved by Caswell Sound Marble securing the first prize at the late Sydney Exhibition against Italian Statuary and other valuable varieties. They also wish to dwell upon its known certainty and non-speculative character, the ultimate success of this venture being now established. The lowest quotation for this Marble is 12s per foot, and ranges up to £5. Larger blocks, aro, how- < ever, much more valuable, some pure White A Statuary, without flaws, realising as much as £20,000 sterling in Europe. The ordinary : price for a block suitable for a life-size human statue being about LIOOO. The present cost of producing this Marble by manual labor only is abopt 2s per cubic foot, f.o.b. These figures may appear incredible, but they aro nevertheless absolutely correct. Thus, taking the cost of production as stated, and tho very lowest wholesale quotations at 12s per foot, gives the apparently fabulous minimum rate of 500 per cent, profit. It is. therefore, no visionary matter, as these are leading commercial lines and the values well known, the facilities of production, shipment, high quality of product giving' a vast advantage over any like property in the world. We will also venture to predict that the value of the Company's shores will increase at least 300 per cent, within twelve months of issue. Referring to consumption of these commodities, it is also enormous. The consumption of Marble, Portland Cement, and Lime in the Australian Colonies alone during tho last twelve mor.tbs has been £2,862,600 sterling, a d rapidly increasing. Caswell Sound is a commodious and saife harbor for tho largest vessels inall weathers, the works of the Company being situated on tho water's edge. The Government of thia Colony has also promised to favorably, ' oonsider special grants and concessions in aid as soon as the. Company is successfully floated. For further particulars re other minerals found at the Sound, copper, coal, gold, <£c., together with scientific, professional, Government, and other reports, with the details of tho objects and intentions of the Company, we refer to the prospectus, which can be obtained on application to any of the officers of the Company, or from Company's agents, tho Bank of Now Zealand, Masterton, Greytown, and Carterton, and at any of their branches in this Colony and Australia. 610 ADELAIDE WINES.
