Copies of Prospectus and Forms of aplication for shares can be obtained from he Brokers, Provisional Directors, or from w of the branches of the Bank of New Keiland in this Colony, until the 15th day of December, 1880, at which date all application must bo in the Lauds of the Brokers, when the lists will positively be closed and shares allotted. Specimens of Caswell Sound Marble can be seen at any of tho Museums in New Zealand • the Chamber of Commerce, Wellington, or on application to any of the Officers of the Company. ... Introducing this eligible investment to the notice of the public, the promoters desire to state that the Company's rights comprise the best, most available, extensive, and perhaps most valuable Marblo deposits in the known world, at all events in the Southern Hemisphere. This is sufficiently proved by Caswell Sound Marble securing ' {he first prize at the late Sydney Exhibition , saainst Italian Statuary and other valuable • v varieties. Tbey also wish to dwell upon its known certainty and non-speculative character, the ultimate success of this venture being now established. The lowest quotation for this Marble is 12s per foot, and ranees up to £5. Larger blocks are, however 0 much more valuable, some pure White Statuary, without flaws, realising as much US £20,000 sterling in Kurope. The ordinary price for a block suitable for a life-size human statue being, about L.IOOO. Tho present cost of producing this Marble by manual labor only is abopt 2s per cubic foot f.o.b. These figures may appear incredible, but they are nevertheless absolutely correct, Thus, taking tho cost of production as stated, and the very lowest wholesale quotations at 12s,per foot, gives the apparently fabulous minimum rate of 500 percent, .profit. It is.' therefore, no visionary matter, as these arc leading commorcial lines and tho values well known, tho facilities of production/ shipment, high Quality of product giving a vast advantage over any like, property in the woiM. We will also venture to predict that the value of the Company's shares will increase at least 300 per cent, within twelve months of issue. Referring to consumption of these commodities, it is also enormous. The consumption of Marble, Portland Cement, and Lime in tho Australian Colonies alone during the last twelve months has been £2,862,600 sterling, a <d rapidly increasing. Caswell Soun'l is a commodious and safe harbor for the largest vessels in all weathers, the works of tho Company being situated the water's edge. The Government of this Colony has also promised to favorably consider special grants and concessions in aid as soon as the Company is successfully floated. For further particulars re other minerals found at the Sound, copper, coal, gold, &c„ together with scientific, professional, Government, and other reports, with the details of the objects and intentions of the Company, we icier to the prospectus, which can be obtained on application to any of the officers of the Company, or from.Companv's agents, the Bank of New Zealand, Masterton.
