MANAGER, PRO TEM. A. H. Malcolm, Esq. Copies of 'Prospectus and Forms of application for shares can be obtained from the Brokors, Provisional Directors, or from any of the branches of tho Bank of New Zealand in this Colony,-until, the loth day of December, 1880, at which date all applications must bo in the hands of tho Brokers, when tho lists will positively be closed and Bliaros allotted. Specimens of Caswell Sound Marble can be seen at any. of the Museums in New Zealand; the Chamber of Commerce, Wellington, or on application to any of the Officers of tho Company. In introducing this eligible investment to the notice of tho public, tho promoters desire to state'thattho Company's rights comprise the best, most available; extousive, and perhaps most valuable Marble deposits in the known world, at all events in the Southern Hemisphere, This is sufficiently proved by Caswell Sound Marble securing tho first prize at tho lato Sydney Exhibition against Italian Statuary and other valuable varieties, They also wish to dwell upon its known certainty and non-speculative character, tho ultimate success of this venture being uow established. Tho lowest quotation for this -Marble is 12s per foot, and ranges up to £5. Larger blocks are, however, much more valuable, somo pure White Statuary, without flaws, realising as much as £20,000 sterlingin Europe. Tho ordinary prico for a block suitable for a life-size human Btatuo being about LIOOO. The present cost of producing this Marble by manual labor only is abopt 2s per cubic foot,_ f.o.b. These figures may appear iucrediblo, but they are nevertheless absolutely correct. Thus, taking, tho cost of production as stated, and the very lowest wholesale quotations at 12s per foot, gives the apparently fabulous minimum rate of POO percent, profit It is. therefore, no visionary mattor, as- these aro loading commercial lines and tho values weir known, the facilities of production, shipment, high quality c* product giving a vast advantage over any hko property in tho world. We will also venture to predict that tho value of tho Company's shaves wil} inoroase at least 300 per ceut. within twelve months of issue,:.; fyfcvrmg to consumption of these commodities, it is also enormous. The consumption of Marble, Portland Cement, andLime in tho Australian. Colonies alone during the last twelvo. months has been £2,862,600 sterling, a -.d rapidly increasing, Caswell Soun.* is a commodious and safe harbor'for the largest vesselsln all wea there, the Works -of tho Company being situated ■ tho water's.edgo. -The 'Government of this Colony has also promised" to. favorably consider special grants and concessions in aid as soon as tho Company is successfully floated, For further"particulars re o&er minerals found at the Sound, copper, coal,' gold, Ac., together with' scientific, professional," Government, and other-reports,.with the details of the objects arid intentions of the Company, we refer to the"; prospectus, which.can be obtained on application to any of th&'officers of. the" Company, orfrom Company's agents,' the',:Bank of New Zealand,-Masterton", Groytown'arid Garterton, and at any. of their branohe3 in this Colony and Auskalia,'.; :. ei'O
