• r • -An adjourned meeting of the above was : held on Tuesday, the 30th lilt. Present Messrs Butters (chairman), Langdon, and Greenland. The minutes of the previous meeting - read and confirmed. The Treasurer reported balance availfa" ablo for future expenditure, £506 8s 4d. Tho overseer's report and wages bills were read and passed. CORRESPONDENCE.—INWARDS. From Mr Wilsone, re expenditure of . the £7OO on the Tinuiand Castle Point road. Froni same, re Public Works' Committee of County Council accepting tenders for which £7OO had been granted.'' From the Treasury, stating that the Government subsidy to-30th June next had been paid into the credit of the Board, at the Bank of New Zealand. From Lyon & Blair, with account.. . From Kenrick & Co., with account : KESOLVED. .• That the motion standing in Mr Arm- ;; ■ strong's name be further postponed. . That the-consideration of a separate ■ rate be allowed to lapse. That -tenders for the necessary wdrks on road between Kahumingi and Tinui be called for and accepted by : the Public Works Committee of the County Council, ■; and that the £7OO granted by tho Council for necessary works on Tinui-Castle Point road be expended by this Board. That the overseer be instructed to take ■ the;necessary stepß to open the Castle _ ■ Point road for' dray traffic. That £25 be granted for general repairs on the road from Manawa to Tiraumea. ' That sufficient repairs be made on the ' road over Stilbun's hill to allow the men working at tho Whareaina crossing to proceed with their work, . The following accounts were passed and paidJ.
