The Provisional Directors will endeavor to of the Association such modification of the lirid on deferred payment clauses of '• The Land Act, 1877, as may facilitate occupation by bona fide settlers and subscribers without neces'sitatiiig'strict compliance with the present provisions of those clauses. The Provisional Directors will also endeavor to make ample reserves for Religions, eduoatio al, recreation and public health purposes, a« suggested by the Minister of lands to the deputatioi which lately waited upon the Government with a view of bringing this scheme under their notice and favorable consideration, The payments are to be computed on some - well-defined, liberal, and easily-understood instalments extending jver a period of, say not less than ton (10) years. Each subscribing member wili be required ,to deposit a sum equal-to ten per' centum of the total value of, the share of land he applies for before his abplication can be entertained, and a further payment of two per centum per month on said total value until tuck time a« the block to be applied for is obtained by'the Association, and possession can be given to the applicants, or. until such time as the Association shall make arrangements with the Government for alloting land to the subscribers, provided always that sueh menthly payments of two per centum do not extendto a further period than six month from date of application.
