The Provisional Directors will endeavor to induce the Government to grant to members of the Association such modification of the land on deferred payment clauses of ''The Land Act, 1877, as may facilitate occupation by bona fide settlers and subscribers without necessitating strict compliance with the present provisions of thos9 clauses. The Provisional Directors will also endeavor to make ample reserves for religious, educational, recreation and public health purposes, as suggested by the Minister of Lands to the deputation which lately waited upon the Government with a view of bringing this scheme under their notice and favorable consideration, The payments arc to be computed on some well-defined, liberal, and easily-understood system of deferred payments, to be made by instalments extending jver a period of. say not less than ten (10) years. Each subscribing member wih be required to deposit a sura equal to ten per centum of the total value of the share of hind ho applies for before his abplication can be entertained, and a further payment of two per centum per montli on said total value until ' neb time as the block to be applied for is obtained by the Association, and possession can be given to the applicants, or until s.ich time as the Association shall make arrangements with the Government for alloting land to tho subscribers, provided always that such monthly payments of two per centum do not extend to a further period than six months from date of application. All moneys I'ccoivcd arc to be paid into the Colonial Bank of New Zealand to the Association's account, t« be opened in the name of the Trustees, on fixed deposit bearing inter" est, and no withdrawals or payments to be made by cheque against such account without tho authority and signatures of tho Treasurer, one of the 'trustees, and thee Directors being first obtained. Agents, or Acting-Directors, for the Association, will also be appointed in all the centres of population throughout the provincial district as soon as practicable. Terms of proposal and application for stares and other information connected with the Association may be procured from the provisional Directors, the Secretary, or at the Wellington Working Men's Club, Lambton Quay, Applications with amount of deposit to be lodged with the Colonial Bank of New Zealand, Wellington.
