TARATAHI-CARTERTON HIGHWAY BOARD.
A meeting of the Wardens was held at the office of the Board on the 30th ult, Present-Messrs W. Booth (Chairman), L. Nix, J. Reynolds, E. Strawbridge, and K. G. Welch. The minutes of the previous meeting were read and confirmed, ° The balance at, the Bank was—
The following accounts were passed and paid
Notice was received from the Clerk of the County Council re re-urns of the expenditure of the Council subsidy on the maiir road for the current quarter, and
estimate of expenditure for ensuing quarter, which must be rendered previous to the Council meeting on the 9th inst.— The Clerk was instructed to fill up and forward the same, The Clerk was instructed to sue for last years' rates still unpaid, and if the present rates were not paid at the expiration of the thirty days' notice, to enforce payment thereof, _ It wa3 resolved that :be called •or ten chains of formation on' Waterson's Line. The Warden of No 5 Ward was authorised to have some repairs done on Moffat's Cine, t \ The next meeting will be held on the, 28th October. "
