THE BROKER AND THE BOOK AGENT.

Eleven o'clock came, and the lady began to walk smartly round the room, occasionally glancing out of the windows. At norm, the broker was still reading, and tho lady wore a decidedly trouoled countenance! A few minutes before 1 p.m., the broker laid the book down, donned his overcoat and hat, and remarked " That it was a good book. I am sorry I cannot read more of it, but 1 am obliged to go to lunch. If you call in again this afternoon I- will continue reading it."
