WAIRARAPA PASTORAL SOCIETY.

The adjourned meeting of the sub-com-mittee was held on .Saturday, the I3tb instant. Present :-Messrs P. G. Moore (chairman), J. Drummond,H. McMaster, W. C. Buchanan, H, Braithwaitc, and L. JN T ix. The minutes of the last meeting having been read and confirmed, the following correspondence was tabled : Letter from the President of the Society having reference to the champion prize. From the Hawke's Bay Society as to Judges' travelling expenses. From the Huti Society as to date of next show. .-, From Mr W, McKccver containing suggestions as to the next show, and cheque for £1 Is as a prize for the best two Lincoln lambs From 11 Wakelin, offering to print one thousand slips, being programme for the coming show, on certain conditions. The Secretary was directed to write to Mr McKeever, acknowledging receipt of prize money and thanking iiim for the suggestions made. Mr Bntithwaito was to see Mr Wakelin and report progress at next meeting. The following accounts were vouched and directed to be paid ;-A. R, Hislop (cups) £4l ss; W Bock, £1 7s Gd; A. Armstrong, (is. Mr J. Drummond handed in a cheque for £ll Is—one debenture £lO, subscription ills. l After a lengthy discussion the show was fixed for the 19th November next, the Secretary to notify the Wanganui Society thereof. It was also resolved that there be an extension of time for one week to send in tendars for leasing show "round, the conditions for letting being finally settled. V The next meeting of the committee was fixed for Saturday, the 20th inst.
